POWER SYSTEMS ENGINEERING RESEARCH CENTER (PSERC)

The PSerc mission is to significantly contribute to the restructuring of the electric power industry without compromising its standing as a
critically reliable component of the infrastructure.

This multi-university, National Science Founcation-funded research consortium includes representatives from UW-Madison, Arizona State University, University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign, University of California at Berkeley, Cornell University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Iowa State University, Carnegie Mellon University, Texas A&M University, Colorado School of Mines and Washington State University.

The PSerc is comprised of a diverse group of faculty and students
dedicated to solving the challenges arising from power system
restructuring. This cross-disciplinary team includes specialists in
power system dynamics, applied mathematics, nonlinear systems, power
electronics, advanced control theory, computing, economics and public
policy.

There are many dimensions to the PSerc vision, including analytical,
technical, regulatory, economic and educational.
