This multi-university, NSF-funded research consortium includes
representatives from UW-Madison, Cornell University, University of
California at Berkeley, and University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign. Its mission is to significantly contribute to the
restructuring of the electric power industry without compromising its
standing as a critically reliable component of the
infrastructure. PSerc consists of a diverse group of faculty and
students dedicated to solving the challenges arising from power system
restructuring. This cross-disciplinary team includes specialists in
power system dynamics, applied mathematics, non-linear systems, power
electronics, advanced control theory, computing, economics and public
policy. There are many dimensions to the PSerc vision including
analytical, technical, regulatory, economic and educational.
