This consortium conducts multidisciplinary research (fundamental and
applied) on E-commerce use (Internet/Intranet/Extranet) technologies
and complementary re-engineered business processes and organizational
strategies to enhance the competitiveness and effectiveness of
companies (particularly in the manufacturing, retailing and associated
industry sectors) and government agencies. It promotes
university-industry collaborative endeavors leading to education,
research and technology transfer of new E-commerce paradigms for
business-to-customer, intra-business and business-to-business
interactions. Sponsors have access to faculty expertise, applied
projects, workshops, seminars, symposia, educational materials and a
web-based discussion forum that assists companies in their planning,
justification and implementation of E-commerce as a core business
strategy. The consortium acts as a learning community for
organizations to share E-commerce implementation experiences, lessons
learned, best practices and performance metrics for mutual
benchmarking.
