This multi-university, NSF-funded research consortium includes
representatives from UW-Madison, Cornell University, the University of
California at Berkeley, Washington State University, and the
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Its mission is to significantly contribute to the restructuring of the
electric power industry without compromising its standing as a
critically reliable component of the infrastructure.

The PSerc is comprised of a diverse group of faculty and students
dedicated to solving the challenges arising from power system
restructuring. This cross-disciplinary team includes specialists in
power system dynamics, applied mathematics, nonlinear systems, power
electronics, advanced control theory, computing, economics and public
policy.

There are many dimensions to the PSerc vision including analytical,
technical, regulatory, economic and educational.
