  • This multi-university, NSF-funded research consortium includes representatives from UW-Madison, Cornell University, the University of California at Berkeley, Washington State University, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

  • Its mission is to significantly contribute to the restructuring of the electric power industry without compromising its standing as a critically reliable component of the infrastructure.

  • The PSerc is comprised of a diverse group of faculty and students dedicated to solving the challenges arising from power system restructuring. This cross-disciplinary team includes specialists in power system dynamics, applied mathematics, nonlinear systems, power electronics, advanced control theory, computing, economics and public policy.

  • There are many dimensions to the PSerc vision including analytical, technical, regulatory, economic and educational.
