"DRIVING FORCE," by artist Stuart Keeler, includes 105 laminated architectural glass panels depicting energy and motion.
The artwork hangs from an architectural grid-suspension system in the atrium of the Mechanical Engineering Building. The concept is based upon the idea that energy is the link between the many engineering disciplines housed in the Mechanical Engineering Building. It is the common denominator from ancient to future.
All machines are simply potential pathways for the journey of energy.
