All incoming freshman students will be admitted to Engineering using present admission procedures and standards. They will be considered pre-engineering students and given an EGR classification and an identifying department major. (A pre-engineering student may not have a year classification higher than 2 i.e., you may not be an EGR 3). Transfer students must meet the same requirements as pre-engineering students.
To be considered for admission to MS&E, a student must have:
It is the student's responsibility to submit to the Pre-Engineering Office or the Dean's office (for transfer students) a timely application for transfer to MS&E. The application periods are as follows:
Students not admitted to MS&E may file an appeal to the MS&E Department.
Departments may specify courses as not open to pre-engineering students.
