Additional Educational Opportunities
The Materials Science and Engineering department highly encouraged students to enhance their education through the study abroad, co-op, and internship programs offered through the college of Engineering.
Study abroad locations include Italy, Singapore, Spain, and China. Students who take advantage of study abroad experience different peoples and cultures, and learn the value of the international academic experience.
About 3/4 of all MSE students participate in co-ops or internships. In the past 4 years students have placed with more than 45 companies from around the world.
Students invariably recognize these opportunities as invaluable to their academic and professional careers.
