Materials Science Graduate Student MRS Awarded Silver Graduate Student Award
Materials Science graduate student Andrew Yankovich won a Silver Graduate Student Award from the Materials Research Society on April 23, 2014 at the society's spring meeting. MRS says the Graduate Student awards "honor and encourage graduate students whose academic achievements and current materials research display a high level of excellence and distinction. MRS seeks to recognize students of exceptional ability who show promise for significant future achievement in materials research." Andy also made a research presentation on "High precision STEM imaging of Pt and Au nanocatalysts". He is a student of Materials Science and Engineering Professor Paul Voyles.
