Summer 2005

Camp Badger

This summer, after the great experience in 2004, our lab plays a part in Camp Badger, which provides a mix of technological explorations, discussions, research, field trips and recreational activities to five one-week in-residence sessions with about 60 eighth grades in each session.

This year, PhD students Nong Jin, Zhiguo Li, Li zeng and visiting student Gbenga Elehinafe are presenting and let the kids discover the core aspects of manufacturing.

Welcome to Gbenga Elehinafe!

Gbenga, Undergraduate student in the Mechanical Engineering Department at University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA), just joined the M-PAC. He will be working with PhD student Nong Jin. He came part of the SURE (Summer Undergraduate Research in Engineering) program to get familiar with academic research. He will be defending on August 4th

Title: Statistical Analysis for Quality Improvement of Hot Rolling Processes.

May, 2005

IIE Conference in Georgia, GA

› PhD student Nong Jin presents two of his papers:

Title: Cycle-Based Signal Monitoring using a new Directionally Variant Control Chart System.

Title: Signature Construction and Matching for Fault Diagnosis in Manufacturing Process through Fault Space Analysis.
