Facilities and Programs

• The Computer-Aided Engineering Center features a well-equipped central facility in addition to satellite sites, several of which are in the Mechanical Engineering Building. Here students can use computers and workstations for classroom projects throughout the day and evening.

• The Kurt F. Wendt Library, the campus engineering library, is located adjacent to the engineering campus and has an extensive collection of materials. Other specialized libraries on campus are also available to engineering students.

• The Co-op Education/Internship Program students locate full-time employment in industry for a semester or a summer, after which they return to the university to continue their studies. The co-ops and summer internships provide a valuable learning experience and an opportunity to explore career options while earning money for college expenses.

• The Engineering Career Services Office assists seniors and graduates in finding jobs. Many employers regularly visit the UW-Madison campus to recruit, and they work with this office to schedule interviews. Graduating students are offered assistance in resume writing and in searching for jobs with employers who do not visit campus.
