Department awards 91 scholarshipsThe Department of Mechanical Engineering this fall held its 27th annual Scholarship Awards Night, beginning with remarks from College of Engineering Dean Paul Peercy and department chairman Neil Duffie. This year, 91 ME students received scholarships totaling $186,150 from 44 sponsors. The sponsors range from companies such as the Ford Motor Corp. to alumni of the college and department. "The Scholarship Awards Night gives us an opportunity to thank our sponsors for making these awards possible, and to pay tribute to the hard work put in by our students who receive them," Duffie said.
