Student wins scholarshipMechanical engineering senior Molly Mitten was one of four women nationwide to receive a scholarship from engineering firm ABB and the Institute of International Education Global Engineering Education Exchange Program. The awards, which range from $1,500 to $3,000, help fund a semester of study abroad. Mitten is taking mechanical engineering and engineering mechanics and astronautics courses this semester in Turkey. The scholarships are designed to create a pool of well-trained global engineers equipped with foreign language ability, cross-cultural skills and international experience. Last year, industrial engineering student Megan Gibbs (BS '02) received this scholarship to study in Denmark.
