ME and Parker-Hannifin dedicate gift to mechatronics lab
The Department of Mechanical Engineering and Parker Hannifin Corporation celebrated years of collaboration on July 19 when they held a ribbon cutting for a new Parker-Hannifin gift in the department's Manufacturing Automation Lab. Duane E. Collins, a College of Engineering alumnus and Parker-Hannifin's chairman of the board led the Parker-Hannifin delegation at the presentation. He spoke about his education at UW-Madison and presented Dean Paul Peercy and ME Professors Nicola Ferrier and Frank Fronczak with a plaque to mark the occasion. The laboratory, located in the mechanical engineering building, is a hands-on teaching center for manufacturing, instrumentation and control.
