| ME 470 - Optical Applications in Mechanical Engineering |
Basic Physics course including introduction to optics and simple lenses.
The main goal of this course is to introduce engineers to the characteristics of light which can be used to accomplish a variety of engineering tasks. At the end of the course, students should be familiar with the range of possible applications for optics in engineering, and have a sense of how to evaluate the potential of optical methods vs. non-optical methods for any task.
