| ME 370 - Energy Systems Laboratory |
The following statement indicates which of the following considerations are included in this course: economic, environmental, ethical, political, societal, health and safety, manufacturability, sustainability.
This course provides a key example of how the department's program objective to integrate and apply fundamental knowledge through practical experience is carried out. The students revisit many of the principles introduced in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer in their data collection and analysis. Through the practice of continually introducing new experiments in end-of-the-semester student projects, this course supports the department's objective of being responsive to technological changes. Furthermore this course provides opportunities for students to improve their computer analysis skills, communication skills, and teamwork skills - all of which reflect the department's educational objectives.
