    Summary

My interests are in the electronic and many-body properties of correlated electron systems, including: high-temperature superconductors, magnetic perovskite oxides, magnetic rare earth compounds, and lower dimensional materials.

Students who work with me learn angle-resolved photoemission, other synchrotron-radiation based techniques, magneto-optic Kerr effect, magnetization, X-ray diffraction, and resistivity measurement techniques. Students also learn to fabricate materials, including single-crystal high-temperature superconductors, magnetic oxide, and lower dimensional materials. My interests stem from a combination of physics motivation and interest in materials synthesis/characterization.
