Ties to Industry

The MSE Program at UW-Madison exists in a rich environment of manufacturing and industrial partnerships. National and regional manufacturing firms are critical operational and intellectual partners in teaching, research and mentoring for MSE students.

Industrially sponsored research, manufacturing projects and field work are trademarks of the MSE experience. While the UW is home to multiple research centers, MSE students work particularly close with the Center for Quick Response Manufacturing, a world-class industry consortium of more than 40 manufacturing firms. Students complete on-site project work with many QRM-affiliated companies during their time in the program.
