Why Hire MSE Graduates?

The Master of Science in Manufacturing Systems Engineering (MSE) Program was founded on the principle of training engineers equally as operations tacticians and business strategists. As the first program of its kind in the United States, MSE continues the leadership of the UW in manufacturing teaching and research.

The MSE student presents a well-rounded, interdisciplinary alternative to hiring engineers with narrow specialties for manufacturing-related positions. MSE students also combine their academic training with a high degree of practical experience, studying and implementing complex projects for regional manfacturing firms.

The MSE Program has equipped nearly 400 graduates with advanced technical and management skills critical to the competitive standing of modern global manufacturing firms. MSE graduates have proven themselves on the job for nearly 25 years.
