Minimum requirements for admission to the University of
Wisconsin-Madison are described in the Undergraduate Bulletin. For
engineering, the 16 units of high school study required for admission
should include four years each of mathematics and English, and one
year each of chemistry and physics. Above average performance in these
units is expected. Further details on the requirements and regulations
for an engineering degree, including mechanical engineering, are
contained in the Bulletin, College of Engineering.
