Student Advisory Committe (SAC)

The Student Advisory Committee (SAC) is a small group of students and faculty dedicated to improving the industrial engineering undergraduate experience. The committee was formed in 1992 to increase communication between ISyE faculty and the student body. Since then the group has taken on a number of projects; some of which include: designing the Industrial and Systems Engineering promotional brochure, installing the industrial and systems engineering introductory class (ISyE 191), and redesigning the ISyE undergraduate advising system. The uniqueness of this committee is that the yearly projects are determined fully by the students. The faculty attend meetings primarily for support. The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering is dedicated to continuous improvement and SAC is one of the ways in which the department's efforts can be seen and measured.

Students from every grade can be very helpful by providing different points of view. Members are often nominated by student organizations, fellow classmates and/or professors. At the beginning of each year informational meetings are held. Look for postings.
