Procedure Number 14.1: Departmental Policies Governing the Ph.D Degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering—Effective Fall 2009
PhD Minor Requirements for Non-IE Majors
A PhD candidate from another department taking an Option A minor* in Industrial and Systems
Engineering must complete a minimum of 9 credits of Industrial and Systems Engineering courses numbered 300 or above. The set of courses used to satisfy the Option A minor must be approved by the Associate Chair. A minimum GPA of 3.20 is required for this set of courses. A course with a grade of C or lower cannot be used to satisfy the minor requirement. Students may transfer up to 3 credits from another university to satisfy the minor requirement, subject to the approval of the Associate Chair.
