Nuclear engineering grad student receives Poukey award

Engineering Physics graduate student Matt Jasica has received a $1,000 award presented in memory of the late James Poukey, a Sandia National Laboratories plasma physicist who earned his bachelor's, master's and PhD from UW-Madison in the 1960s. The award is supported by a fund established by Poukey's sister, Mary Hauser. Jasica recently completed his second year as a grad student, and intends to earn his PhD in nuclear engineering and engineering physics.
