The completion of approximately 15 elective credits in oral communication and technical writing leads to a Certificate of Technical Communication; the award is noted on the student's transcript. Representative courses include EPD 397: Technical Communication, EPD 398: Technical Communications Internship, EPD 275: Technical Presentations, EPD 395: Elements of Computer-Assisted Publishing and CA 464 "Theory and Practice of Persuasion." The program will help students become better communicators as Engineers or will prepare them to pursue careers in technical writing.
