Students who have done college level work elsewhere can usually transfer credits earned at other colleges. See Ms. Ann E. Morris (1150 Engineering Hall, 608/262-5510) to arrange a transfer of credits. In addition, there is the possibility of having prerequisites waived, of having course requirements waived, or of receiving course credit. Generally, prerequisites can be waived by the instructor teaching the course. The Department Chair can waive course requirements, and the department that offers a course can give credit for one of its courses either by examination or on the basis of evidence of equivalent work.
