Advising

The Pre-Engineering staff in the Engineering Student Services office, 1150 Engineering Hall, advises all pre-engineering students. However, pre-engineering students interested in nuclear engineering are also encouraged to meet with Prof. Corradini (147 Engineering Research Building, 608/263-1646, corradini@engr.wisc.edu).

Once you have been admitted to the NE Program you are assigned a NE advisor. Students retain the same advisor until graduation, even if they do not progress in class standing at the normal rate. The list of faculty advisors is available in the Department office. Before registering, each student must meet with their faculty advisor for assistance in planning courses and meeting degree requirements and objectives. You must consult with an advisor and turn in your "course advising" form to the PE Department office (153 ERB) or to the EP Department Student Services Coordinator (144 ERB) before you register for the following semester. A "hold" is placed on your ability to register until this form is received.
