Course objectives

This course is a quasi-classical treatment of the interactions between charged particles and the interactions of charged particles with electromagnetic radiation. These interactions along with the nuclear interactions discussed in NEEP 742 (the second half of this two-semester sequence) form the physical basis for most of nuclear engineering. (There is about a three-week overlap with Physics 711 and a roughly equal overlap with 721.)
