College of Engineering Instructional Services

Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE)

CAE provides students with access to a broad range of computing systems, software applications and consulting services. UNIX and Windows NT systems are available through the CAE instructional network. Document scanning and laser and color printing are also available. CAE installs and services the networking systems used by college faculty, researchers and administration.

Engineering Media Services (EMS)

EMS supports classroom capture of video and supports point-to-point video conferencing. There are over 100 video projects in the college. Every general assignment classroom is set up to capture video, as are most conference rooms and several instructional laboratories. EMS provides faculty support of AMX touch panels to control electronics in classrooms.

Engineering Learning Center (ELC)

ELC supports faculty development in many areas of teaching and learning. In particular, ELC offers a New Educator's Orientation each semester to share effective teaching strategies in the engineering disciplines. The ELC provides professional development opportunities and resources for instructors and students, and facilitates connections for other units across campus that support teaching and learning.
