President Grede Foundries, Inc., Milwaukee. Born, Milwaukee, February 24, 1897. University of Wisconsin 1915-17. Foundry work in Illinois 1917-20. Purchased Liberty Foundry, Milwaukee, in 1920, and has since headed his own foundry business, which now includes three iron foundries and two steel foundries. Director and Past President Wisconsin Manufacturers Association; Director National Association of Manufacturers; Director Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Member of local and national boards of Young Men's Christian Association.

Instructor in Mathematics, Michigan State College, 1902-04; Instructor in Hydraulics, University of Wisconsin, 1906-07; with Daniel W. Mead, Madison, 1907-12; consulting engineer, Portland, Oregon, 1912-16; with James 0. Heyworth, Chicago, 1916-20; in private practice, as consulting engineer 1920 to present.

With Standard Oil Co. for a year after graduation; since then with Sinclair Refining Co. as chemist 1917-19; Assistant Refinery Superintendent 1918-1919; Superintendent Pressure Still Dept. 1919-22; then Assistant to the Vice President and subsequently in present position. Member American Chemical Society. During the war, member of the Technical Advisory Committee and the Aviation Gasoline Committee of the Petroleum Administration for War. Past Chairman of the Village Trustees of Flossmoor, Ill., his home.

Director, First National Bank of Marinette, State Commander American Legion, 1941-42, Chairman, Republican Party of Wisconsin since 1947.

Author "Outline of the Metallurgy of Iron and Steel". Recipient of Robert W. Hunt Medal, American Institute of Mining and Metallurgical Engineers, 1947.
General Superintendent and Director, Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Neenah, Wisconsin. Born, Neenah-Menasha, Wis., April 7, 1899. B. S. in Chemical Engineering, University of Wisconsin, 1922. With Kimberly-Clark since 1923, working especially on creped wadding products, became Assistant General Superintendent in 1943 and General Superintendent and Director in 1945. Trustee of the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation; Member of Board of Trustees of Milwaukee Downer Seminary; Member Executive Board Diocese of Fond du Lac; Director Inland Lake Yachting Association.

Military service in First World War. With Allis–Chalmers Co. 1919-27 as a graduate student, test engineer and sales engineer. Hydraulic engineer with Power Corporation of Canada, Montreal, 1927-36. With Tennessee Valley Authority 1936-42 as Senior Mechanical Engineer, Principal Mechanical Engineer, and Head Hydraulic Engineer. Present position since l942.

Arnold, Consulting Engineer, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, 1912; Assistant City Engineer of Madison 1912-16; Superintendent of Madison Water Department 1916-18; Emergency Fleet Corporation, San Diego, Cal., 1918-19; present position since 1919.

University of Wisconsin 1900. Assistant Superintendent with J. I. Case Plow Works until 1902. Taught in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Wisconsin, 1902-14. Business Manager of the University 1914-21. General Education Board of New York City, 1921-28. Kohler Co. 1928-1943. While at Kohler served as Trustee of Milwaukee-Downer College and as Director of the Security National Bank.
