    Summary

MicroElectroMechanical Systems (MEMS), lab on chips and nano scale science and engineering have attracted much attention in the whole engineering arena and are undergoing rapid development. They give promises to new kinds of sensors and actuators in microsystems.

My research interests include MEMS sensors and actuators, especially biological MEMS (BioMEMS) and optical MEMS (or Micro Opto Electro Mechanical Systems - MOEMS), microlfuidics, lab on chips, smart materials and microstructures, MEMS based RF passive components and their applications in radio-frequency (RF) IC. Our research effort currently revolves around biological/chemical sensing, stimuli-responsive polymer materials and optofluidics.
