Welcome, EGR students.
Welcome to the College of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. No matter who you are, where you come from or what your background is, the staff of the Engineering General Resources (EGR) office is here to guide and support you throughout your college career. Our office is your advising and academic affairs center. You will be assigned to an EGR advisor who will help you:
• adapt to college life and studies
• explore your interests and goals
• investigate majors/careers in and outside of engineering
• select classes, including introduction-to-engineering courses
• work toward meeting departmental admission requirements
• participate in engineering activities and organizations
We encourage you to familiarize yourself with this office and to visit with your academic advisor on a regular basis.
