Financial Support

The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering awards a number of scholarships annually in June, for the following academic year. Outstanding students may fill out an application available at 2035 Engineering Hall by May 1. However, an application is not necessary to receive a scholarship. Most scholarships administered by the Department are awarded primarily on academic merit, but other criteria may be used (e.g., extracurricular activities and achievements, interests, experience and financial need.) In order to be eligible for a Chemical and Biological Engineering scholarship students must be accepted into the Chemical and Biological Engineering Program, be enrolled full-time, and have completed a major introductory course in chemical engineering (e.g., ChE 250).

The department is grateful for generous financial support from many sources to assist undergraduate students. Scholarship support assists the department in the recruitment and retention of top students to the undergraduate program. In addition to many individual contributors, industrial supporters of the undergraduate program include these corporations:

Students in need of aid should check Office of Student Financial Services, 432 North Murray Street. Additional scholarships, awards and internships administered by other institutions and companies are posted on the bulletin board at 2035 Engineering Hall and at the Engineering Dean's office, 2630 Engineering Hall.
