|Faculty Position Vacancies|
THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGICAL ENGINEERING, UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-MADISON invites outstanding individuals to apply for tenure-track or tenured faculty positions. Two searches are under way. The first is part of the Wisconsin Bioenergy Initiative, a university-based coalition that capitalizes and expands the talent to create, commercialize and promote bioenergy solutions. In order to advance these goals, UW-Madison is seeking to hire a faculty member with interest and expertise in catalytic conversion of biomass to fuels. Individuals with proven research in the development of novel chemical conversion routes, catalyst development, or catalytic processes are encouraged to apply online at http://newfac.wbi.wisc.edu/. Applications received prior to March 9, 2012 will receive full consideration. In addition, we see outstanding individuals with a strong background and research interests relevant to Chemical and Biological Engineering. Send resume, cover letter and statement of research and teaching interests to Prof. Nicholas Abbott, firstname.lastname@example.org. To ensure consideration, applications must be received by Feb. 22, 2012. Candidates should have a distinguished academic record, exceptional potential for creative research and a commitment to both graduate and undergraduate instruction. For more senior applicants, an outstanding reputation in the field of specialty is a prime requirement. Unless confidentiality is requested in writing, information regarding applicants must be released upon request. Finalists cannot be guaranteed confidentiality. UW-Madison is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer. We promote excellence through diversity and encourage all qualified applicants to apply.
