Student notesGraduate student Vy Lam won the 2003 W.H. Peterson Award for best student oral presentation from the American Chemical Society Division of Biochemical Technology. Vy's presentation at this year's annual meeting of the ACS in New Orleans titled, "Monitoring of viral spread and the development of cellular defensive responses to vesicular stomatitis virus in vitro," was based on research with his thesis advisor, John Yin.
