International Scholarship Pledged
Rose Carlson, widow of A. David Carlson (BS '64), has pledged to bequeath a generous endowment to establish the Albert David Carlson Chemical Engineering International Summer Laboratory Scholarship Fund.
The fund will support scholarships for undergraduates enrolling in our international summer lab programs, currently offered at University College London in England and at the University of Oviedo in Spain.
David worked for 38 years for Standard Oil of Indiana (later Amoco Oil Company), retiring in 1992 as superintendent of air pollution control in the environmental control division.
Rose and David also provided generous support for a new campus landmark, the Allen Centennial Gardens
