Mathematics Requirements

Transfer students must have equivalent math courses to meet the requirement of the three basic calculus courses with at least 12 credits.

Math 221 Calculus and Analytic Geometry, 5 cr2
Math 222 Calculus and Analytic Geometry, 5 cr
Math 234 Calculus - Function of Several Variables, 3 cr
Math 319 or Math 320
Advanced Math or Statistics Elective, 3 cr3

The Advanced Math Elective requirement is to be chosen from the following courses: Math 319, Math 320, Math 321, Math 340, Stat 311, Stat 424.

NOTE: Credit may not be received for both Math 320 and Math 340.


  1. Meets the Quantitative Reasoning, Part A General Education Requirement.

  2. Students who have 5 credits for Math 223 or for Math 234 and Math 235 are not required to take the Advanced Math or Statistics Elective. The total math requirement becomes 18 credits in this case and the student will have 4 credits for free electives.
