  1. What is the cost to use the facility?

    WCAM is a cost recovery facility. Each year the Advisory Committee reviews the fee schedule and sets the recharge amount.

  2. How can I use the facility?

    To become a user of the cleanroom, each person must attend a 4-hour Safety Orientation training session. These sessions are offered one time per month, usually the second Wednesday of each month. The schedule is posted under "Lab Announcements". At the time of training, a User Information Form completed by the new user and his/her advisor is submitted. See "Getting Started."

  3. Will I receive equipment training?

    Yes. Each person receives individualized training on the equipment. The training may also include tips on accompanying processes. After training and practice, each person demonstrates knowledge of operating procedures in order to receive computer access the equipment.

  4. What is CRESS?

    CRESS stands for Clean Room Equipment Security System. This is the computer-controlled access to equipment. In order be granted access, each user must be trained to use the equipment and able to demonstrate knowledge of the equipment’s operating procedures.
