The Center for Quick Response Manufacturing has for 10 years been helping companies from coast to coast shorten their product lead times. Implementing QRM allowed Datex-Ohmeda, a Wisconsin firm that is part of GE Medical Systems, to enhance its competitiveness internationally. The medical equipment producer has increased its business 15 percent a year for the past five years and was named Manufacturer of the Year in 2002.
