Laboratory for Structures and Materials Testing

This 16,000-sqare-foot interdisciplinary laboratory is for testing materials and structures, including bituminous, concrete, wood and fiber-reinforced polymer materials. The facility includes: 1400 square feet of high-strength test floor with 100 kip tie down points and over 200 square feet of high-strength reaction wall for structural testing. a variety of hydraulic, closed-loop system actuators which are both movable and fixed-frame with access to capacities up to 1 million pounds.

A geotechnical test pit facility asphaltic concrete, Portland cement concrete, wood, fiber-einforced polymer materials testing quipment. fatigue and fracture test facility. mall-scale ibrations/shock testing equpment and an optics lab.
