Research Facilities

Administratively the department is organized into two divisions. Programs of advanced study, research and design are available through the department in the major areas listed below. The curriculum is enhanced by a variety of related programs in areas such as oceanography and limnology, land resources, water resources management, air resources management and environmental monitoring. There are also complementary research facilities such as the Water Resources Center, the Water Science and Engineering Laboratory, the Wisconsin Structures and Materials Testing Laboratory, and the Environmental Remote Sensing Center.
