James Tinjum, an Eisenhower Graduate Fellow in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, has received the 2002 Young Civil Engineer of the Year Award from the Wisconsin section of the American Society of Civil Engineers. The award recognizes professional contributions and accomplishments of early career engineers. Tinjum, who is pursuing a doctorate in geological engineering, previously practiced as an engineer with RMT, Inc., in Madison.

THE CONDUIT is a semi-annual Dept. of Civil & Environmental Engineering publication directed to alumni and friends. This publication is paid for with private funds.
