UPDATE: ASCE 150th Anniversary National Student ConferenceWith the American Society of Civil Engineers 150th Anniversary National Student Conference only one year down the road, the students at UW-Madison have been going full steam ahead. Planning a five-day conference for 1,500 students is not an easy endeavor. The administrative team is busy with facility coordination, public relations, fund-raising and developing a website. Many projects are taking shape. In addition to a national concrete canoe and steel bridge competition, this conference will consist of a job fair, leadership conference, field trips and much more. The main focus of this conference is to increase the public's awareness of the engineering profession, ASCE and UW-Madison. This is an excellent opportunity for your company to meet with young civil engineers from across the country who are about to enter the industry. Please keep your eyes and ears open for additional information to be distributed as we draw closer to this event. Many companies will be presented with opportunities to support the project. If you have the time or resources to heighten the success of this conference, your help would be greatly appreciated. To learn more, contact the CEE department at 608/262-3542.
