Summary

Awad S. Hanna is professor of construction engineering and management at the university of Wisconsin-Madison, department of civil and environmental engineering. Dr. Hanna has more than 20 years of teaching, research, industrial and consulting experience in the U.S., Canada and abroad. A register professional engineer the U.S. and Canada, he has supervised the construction engineering and management research of 30 candidates in the master's and Ph.D. degree programs. Hanna's research interest complement his teaching and include computerized tools for decision making, knowledge-based systems and artificial neural networks, statistical quality control, and construction productivity. Dr. Hanna is the sole author of a book titled "concrete formwork systems" published by Marcel Dekker Inc. Professor Awad.S.Hanna has several years of industrial and academic experience in different countries including the U.S and Canada. His experience extends to many fields including project and design engineer, teaching and research. His teaching focuses on the construction scheduling, cost estamating,project management and control, and computer applications in construction including expert systems and artifical neural networks.

Professsor Dr Hanna has over 50 publications in national and international journals and conference proceedings. He published two comprehensive technical reports on the impact of change orders on labor productivity for electrical and mechanical construction. Dr Hanna is a member of ASCE and ACI.
