Ph.D. Minor Guidelines

The following are the requirements for Ph.D students interested in pursuing a Ph.D. minor within the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, with emphasis in Environmental Engineering:  

1.  Either CEE 821 or CEE 822  (4 cr) 

2.  A 400- or higher level course in Environmental Engineering with at least 2 credits of design (3 cr)

3. An additional 400 or higher level course in Environmental Engineering (3 cr)

4.  Participation in CEE 929 for at least 2 semesters, including one seminar presentation (2 cr)

Total: 12 credits

Special conditions:  Students cannot double count crosslisted courses (including those that are used to satisfy major requirements in EC&T). Special requests will be considered by the environmental engineering faculty on a case by case basis.
