592 Construction Labor Productivity Management. II; 3cr. Comprehensive systems approach to construction labor productivity management and methods improvement. Productivity measurements including work sampling, crew balance charts, process charts, flow diagram and others. The course also includes external factors affecting labor productivity, such as change orders, overmanning, stacking of trades and weather. An integral part of this course is the impact of safety on productivity.

Course objectives

The purpose of this course is to introduce the student to the different techniques of measuring construction productivity and use the data collected using these techniques to improve construction methods. External factors that affect construction productivity. Such as overmanning, stacking of trades, change orders, and weather are also covered in this course. The course includes a special section on financial productivity measures. This part of the course will allow in-depth understanding of financial ratios that prepare the students to top management positions.
