Students are primarily assessed through the homework and exams as weighted: Homework - 20% In-class exam 1 - 20% In-class exam 2 - 25% Final exam - 35%.

Formative assessment is conveyed both through posed questions in lecture and through discussion during office hours.

Course assessment is addressed through course evaluations, exam results, and discussions with students during the semester.
