410 Hydraulic Engineering. I or II; 3cr. Engineering approaches to the measurement, control and conveyance of water flows with particular emphasis on the analysis, design, characteristics, and selection of: hydraulic models (hydraulic structures, rivers, hydraulic machinery, etc.); measurement devices and instrumentation (velocity, discharge, pressure, temperature, etc.); pipe systems (water supply and sewerage networks, surge tanks, water hammer); pumps and turbines (axial, radial, mixed flow). P:Civ Engr 311. Hoopes.
