406 Remote Sensing Instrumentation. (Crosslisted with EnvirSt 406.) I; 1cr. Remote sensing data acquisition systems and data analysis procedures for quantitative analysis of photographic imagery. Review of principles of physical optics and radiometric properties of cameras as well as other lens-based optical instruments. Radiometers and CCD technology. Instruments mounted on existing and future earth resources satellites. P:Civ Engr 302. Scarpace, Lillesand.

Course objectives

The objectives of this 5 week course are to familarize students with the instruments used on the ground and in the aircraft or satellite that are used for remote sensing data acquisition and analysis.
