Relationship of course to undergraduate degree program objectives and outcomes
This course primarily serves students in the department. The information below describes how the course contributes to the undergraduate program objectives.

The final laboratory assignment is design of an aerial photographic mission that integrates the technical aspects of mission planning with economics to achieve a cost-effective result.

Students completing this course should be able to apply analytical techniques to aerial photography to derive reliable spatial information applicable to engineering projects. They should understand data capture instrumentation and the accuracy and precision of information derived from measurements on aerial photos. With regard to mission planning, they should be able to state goals, define assumptions, derive equations and state solutions.

Assessment of student progress toward course objectives

Student performance is assessed through 8 homework / laboratory exercises, and a final exam.
