The University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Biomedical Engineering invites applications for a tenured or tenure-track position beginning January 2007. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience. A Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering or other related area is required. The successful candidate is expected to have exceptional potential to establish a strong research program in a biomedical engineering specialty, and must demonstrate outstanding teaching ability.

Seeking a faculty applicant with research interests in one of the following areas: cell mechanics, biomedical molecular imaging, neuroengineering, stem cell bioengineering, biophotonics in area of optics, or bio-nano technology. Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled, but for full consideration applications must be received by December 24, 2007.
