McGinley joins BME community
Carrie McGinley, a native of Platteville, Wisconsin, joined the UW Foundation staff in February. She's the director of development for the College of Engineering's biomedical engineering, electrical and computer engineering, materials science and engineering and mechanical engineering departments. McGinley, who lived in Arlington Heights, Illinois, before moving to Madison, explains that the best part of her job is traveling through the state and the country to meet alumni. She enjoys learning about their lives, careers and especially about the time they spent at the university. A UW-Madison alumna herself, McGinley has her own stories to share. Her education background is in communication arts, psychology and counseling and her work experiences include positions as an academic advisor for the University of Missouri-Columbia and a consultant for American College Testing (ACT). McGinley has many hobbies, including running, traveling, reading, golf and most importantly, spending time with her family and friends. Downtown Madison, the Union Terrace, and Bascom Hill are her favorite spots in the city. Contact McGinley at 608/263-5129 or carrie.mcginley@uwfoundation.wisc.edu to learn more about gift options.
